Later today I plan on closing comments on older entries. The comment spam issue has gotten so bad that MT-Blacklist is not catching a lot of stuff and I find myself killing 2-3 spams a day manually. I’m not happy about that. The older comments are usually what the spammers are targeting, so they’re getting shut off.
I seriously considered killing off comments completely, but decided against it for the rare times that interesting things show up in the comments.
