On KJZZ this morning, presented uncritically – a libertarian think-tank advocating for toll lanes on Arizona highways and pointing out that working class poor people who could lose their jobs for being late would probably use them 1-3 times a week.
Or, we could add additional lanes without creating a regressive tax on people who are already financially vulnerable. Or, we could work on affordable housing near urban areas to reduce the need for long commutes. Or, we could work on expanding public transportation to make it accessible to more of the valley. Or…..
Why would any NPR station consider this report newsworthy?
