While reading this interview of Wil Wheaton from Sequential Tart, it struck me. Wil could be the next Spalding Gray. For those who don’t know, Spalding Gray was a fantastic story teller, best known for Swimming to Cambodia. His format for telling stories would fit Wil to a tee.
Wil could do a readings of Just a Geek and distribute it as a DVD. Wil has great timing and pacing that add a lot to his stories. I think many people who bought the book would also buy a video of him performing readings from it. Set him up with a desk, throw in some video clips over his shoulder, and you’ve got a hit. It’s a sure thing.
