Interestingly enough, it turns out that the wall plate for the phone in the office was painted – on the inside. Yep, inside. Also, for good measure, one of the wires on the DSL line was clipped.
So new wall plate in place, the DSL is now in the office, and all is well in the world. I’m starting to put the office together now, and I’m having a hard time working up the motivation to unpack simply because I hate it. So Kelli’s doing it. Yea Kelli!
Speeds still suck. The Qwest guy came out again, and it turns out that the phone room is locked, so Qwest can’t get in there. So now I have to call the management company and try to get someone out here to unlock the door. We’ll see how that flies. But for now, this is what I’m at:
Down Stream 608 Kb/s Up Stream 480 Kb/s
If for some reason the suck cannot be reduced, I might just push back to a hosted solution and go back to Cox for the internet action. I’d rather not go that route, but I will if I have to. I’m talking to you Qwest.
