This is pretty ridiculous.
For those of you who don’t follow links, the synopsis here is that a toy store owner was contacted by homeland security agents regarding a knock off of a Rubik’s cube called the Magic Cube. Agents told her to remove it from her shelves and watched as she did so. Then they left.
Homeland Security includes customs, which is why they were involved in this particular case, but it begs the question of why they didn’t instead contact Toysmith, which is in Washington, demanding they cease production and that they contact their distributors to pull the items from shelves. Why would they needlessly frighten a toy store owner?
As the owner said “Aren’t there any terrorists out there?”
