Nothing major to write about, but lots of little things, so here goes.
Kelli got really sick this weekend and seems to just now be getting better.
I wisely fled from my sick girlfriend and joined Doug up in Flagstaff for frolfing and Army of Two goodness.
On our second trip to frolf, we got caught in a [...]
Kelli and I were watching Family Guy last night on TBS HD, and saw these beyond-annoying ads. We were both flabbergasted. Who would have thought that TV advertisers would try to recreate the pop-up for TV.
TBS, seriously, cut it out. I can watch Family Guy on DVD.
If you haven’t yet, take 10 minutes and view “From Russia with Hate“, an interesting report about the growing neo-nazi/skinhead movement in Russia.
While I’m sure there are a large range of emotions at play here, those who were interviewed consistently pointed to economic issues for their hate, rather than genetic inferiority, which separates these skinheads [...]
Today I saw a link to an interview done with bush in Ireland. Noted was the interviewer’s willingness to ask Bush difficult questions. I don’t personally think she was that rough on him, and he roughly just stayed on his talking points and shouted her down when she tried to call him on [...]
Mario Kart Wii. We’ve all been waiting for it. Does it deliver? eh…
Okay first things first. The wheel. The wheel is fun. It makes it feel like you’re really interacting with the game. This is good times. Unfortunately, it also takes a lot of the precision out of [...]
I’ve been listening to a lot of NPR over the last year, and I’ve been noticing a shift more and more to the right of politics.

Having been raised in a religious family, and a religious community, I was always struck by the profound cognitive dissonance that exists between what Jesus says and what most Christians actually practice.
I’ve also long felt that modern American Christianity is much more a social movement than it is a spiritual one. As my friend [...]
Childins
Kelli’s sister is in town dragging along her not quite 2 year old son, and I’ve had some babysitting time in play.
This is a really well behaved kid. Like crazy well behaved.
Of course whenever someone sees me with a kid, me being in my 30’s they say “you should make babies!!!!1!”
And while I don’t [...]
A Haunting
Recently I started getting the discovery channel in glorious HD and was mightily happy. Finally I can revel in “The Deadliest Catch” in high def. W00t.
But apparently someone at the discovery network had a seizure while throwing darts during a programming meeting and someone green lit “A Haunting”. It’s a show that [...]
The Times has a scary article on how Johnson and Johnson is trying to gain legal protection from lawsuits on drugs approved by the FDA. Never mind the fact that pharmaceutical companies have been shown time and time again to have omitted key finding from studies, or simply not published critical studies at all. [...]
