Switching Contexts

Today I’ve been trying to review hours of focus group video looking for quotes to back up the work we’ve done in my project. I’ve been getting interrupted every 5 minutes or so, and it completely blows my ability to concentrate. Annoying.

Rollin into the 4 day weekend

Ahhh. Nothing like 4 days off. This will be good. Kelli is out of town visiting the california crew which gives me lots and lots of introvert time. Yea!

Tonight is my graduation into green-black belt, and for those of you counting, I have 3 belts after this one (out of 15)

Annoyed with my back

The Back has been getting progressively better, with almost no pain these days. This is a good thing. Until yesterday when I had a particularly aggressive session with the chiro.

This morning I was really stiff, and have little catch bits of pain in my upper back. Annoyed.

I’m trying to take it easy

Great Interview with Sam Harris

Great interview with Sam Harris on why religion must end.

“Either you can be held hostage by the human conversation that occurred 2,000 years ago and has been enshrined in these books, or you can be open to the human conversation of the 21st century.”

Steven Oliver Seminar and Running a Dojo

Riiiiiibs

Today was my 4th visit to the chiropractor, and a lot of the issues in my neck are now gone. Yea! Unfortunately, it would seem that some of them have moved down into my right shoulder.

I’ve long had a very specific pain that hits between my shoulder blades when I get at specific

Making Decisions

That link is a very good synopsis of some of the things I’ve been thinking a lot about recently.

Our brains are associative/comparitive Our brains love comparison and change We remember unpleasant things more than pleasant We make decisions based on memory more than observation We tend to be overly

Eating Healthy and … stuff.

Well, for those of you who are interested, I’ve started another prong on my “Be Alive at 45″ plan. I’ve been kicking a lot of saturated fats and calories out of my diet recently. While my cholesterol and blood pressure aren’t officially scary, it’s probably about time that I took my health seriously

Punching Bag

The Seminar with Tori Eldridge is now over, and it was tons of fun. Being that I make giggling noises when people hit me, and make funny faces when being thrown through the air, I ended up being the person who has techniques demonstrated on them for most of the sessions. This included

Web Work and Training

First up: More work on learningphoto.com. All the non-photo entries are removed. Individual entries now have navigation (which is going to get prettied up soon) and look like the front page. The RSS2 and Atom feeds are working properly, and now I just have to work on enclosures for both.
