While at the conference, there was a photographer walking around with a Nikon D1x, and an insanely high powered flash. Well those D1xs have a really loud mirror slap. But strangely enough, when I was hearing the camera fire, I was just overcome with how much I love that sound. I love taking photos, and the shutter/mirror is just such a visceral satisfying noise that accompanies it.
The Canon 5D will soon be mine. I’ve been resisting the urge with all my might, but I know it’s just a matter of time.
